TAILLIGHT HOLE REPLACEMENT

 

For some odd reason, many trucks got the "trailer light" treatment done to the rear end. While this increased visibility for other drivers, this of course damaged the body due to the enlarged holes.

Below are the specifications when patching the hole and re-cutting. 

1952=>mid 57

Specs:
From the top of bed lip to the top of the hole is approx  6 1/2"
From the corner edge at the engine lid to the edge of the hole is approx 1 3/4"
The hole is  2 7/16" from side to side

late 57=>1958

Specs:
Same as above, except there were two 1/8" holes drilled, one at top and one at bottom of hole for the new mounting hardware to go thru.

1959=>1962

59-62
Specs:
New taillight position.
Holes were moved 12mm OUT and 100mm DOWN from where they currently were. Also 2 notches were added to the hole to clear the screw holes (see pic) the hole itself was the same size.

1963=>1967 up
